बुलंद केसरी ब्यूरो, चंडीगढ़ः Punjab Government द्वारा पंजाब के Chief Information Commissioner का चयन कर दिया गया है। दरअसल, पंजाब सरकार ने Senior Advocate Inderpal Singh Dhanan को Punjab का सूचना Commissioner नियुक्त किया है।
वह मूलरूप से Hoshiarpur के रहने वाले हैं और समाजसेवी के रूप में उनकी इलाके में पहचान है। बताया जा रहा है कि सिंह ने सेवानिवृत्त IPS अधिकारी और पूर्व Police महानिदेशक Suresh Arora का स्थान लिया, जिनका कार्यकाल तीन महीने पहले समाप्त हो गया था। उनके नाम ने सभी को हैरान कर दिया है क्योंकि इस दौड़ में Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann के पूर्व अतिरिक्त मुख्य सचिव A.Venuprasad का नाम भी चल रहा था।
बता दें कि Inderpal Singh Dhanan फौजदारी केसों के नामी वकील हैं। इसके अलावा इनके दादा Harbaksh Singh भी Barrister थे और सामूहिक Punjab में वह deputy speaker भी रहे हैं। इतना ही नहीं उनके परदादा गुलाब सिंह session judge रहे हैं। Inderpal Singh की दो बेटियां भी वकील हैं। जबकि, बेटा भी वकालत की पढ़ाई कर रहा है।
